KIAF - Korea International Art Fair

This year, Korea International Art Fair (KIAF) marks its 11th consecutive Edition. Since its origin in 2002, under the auspice of ´´Galleries Association of Korea¨´, KIAF managed to achieve influential significance as a leading international art fair in Asia, dominating the autumn market. The influential KIAF held from September 13 to September 17, at the Conference & Exhibition Centre (COEX), will offer a distinct art venue to the tens of thousands of visitors and countless domestic and international collectors attracted annually to this prominent cultural landmark. This year, for the first time in its history, and in recognition to the commemorative Year of Friendship between Latin American & Korea, celebrating the 50th year anniversary of diplomatic relations, Latin America, will be distinguished as Guest Region within the fair. A special Art Section therein, will house prestigious galleries specializing in Contemporary and Modern Art of various origins representing the highest standards of talent Latin America has to offer.
The Latin American Art Section is curated by Ahn Jinog, an established fine art dealer and art curator with more than 20 years of experience in managing, marketing and developing such art in Korea. Her credentials range from serving recently as Commissioner of an exhibition for 'Fernando Botero' organized by Deoksoogung Museum of Art and MBC in 2009, to Commissioner and Curator of the exhibition of Carlos Cruz Diez “Color in Space” in Sejong Centre for the Performing Arts in 2011, two of the largest Latin-American Art exhibits ever held in Korea.
